I hope everyone had a fab weekend! I for one tried to get inspired and headed out to LA to check out the LA Times event: Festival of Books.  I have to say, overall the experience was pretty worth it.  I didn't expect the event to be this big, but wow it was frekkin packed with rows and rows of booths, books and people!   Overall, I wished I'd grabbed some cookbooks (vegetarian cookbooks were on the racks for like $5-10 a pop!!!)  Great prices right?

If you've never been, definitely check it out next year! It's held annually and its a great time to sit and relax on the grass while listening to some poetry, enjoy food truck foods and get steals on books!  What's so great about this event is that you get to see a lot of great speakers and you get to explore USC!!

I'm trying to keep up with my list to do's and places to go this year, so I thought I'd share my weekends with you guys.  Here are some random pictures of what I've been wearing and where I've been chillin...  Can you guys guess where I've been chillin at?  Little Tokyo, Downtown LA, of course!  If you've never been, definitely check it out, it has a little bit of everything- food, culture, Hello Kitty, and a lot of mochi!

It's better late than never, right? Just thought I'd post some pictures from my V day.
Valentines Day was absolutely exquisite.  After work, I drove up to LA for about 2 hours and come to my surprise, Ryan bought me gifts: I'm finally going to a concert this year! (will post concert pictures later in March after the event). And Yes ladies, I do have the best boyfriend ever!  He absolutely adores me and I absolutely love him with all my heart (see what 5 years can do to you?!!).

We celebrated our V day by opening presents, reading each others V day cards and we went out to an elegant dinner at J Lounge.  Dinner here at the lounge was amazing: I highly recommend outdoor seating.  We enjoyed a 3 course meal with 3 wine pairings.  What a delight!
If you haven't been, definitely check this lounge/restaurant out.  Its cozy, very romantic and chic!

LIFE IN GENERAL

Happy Monday!!
Here's a real post: tad bits and pieces of my life in general.  I thought I'd show you a little bit of the real me... Usually during the week, I don't do a whole lot, I go to the gym, work, yoga, study and I read... (but hopefully I'll add drawing and sewing into the mix).  On the weekends however, "lets get the party started and lets roll!!" I absolutely love to get away and go to the city just for a little bit, even if it means Downtown LA.  Here's some pictures of The Grove and Downtown.  Enjoy!!

Just some random shots from my phone.  (Hollywood, Little Tokyo, Downtown LA, Koreatown).  I feel like I'm living life from weekend to weekend, traveling and eating at new restaurants with Ryan as much as I can.  The hustle and bustle of the chaotic streets in LA makes life more exciting and exuberant.  Some of the things I need to catch up on in LA:
